Participant FAQ

For people who play ARENA quizzes. Short answers in plain words. ARENA is in beta (2026-11-05).

Joining

How do I join a live game? Open join.gamify.events/j/, type the six-digit Game PIN from the host's screen and choose Enter. Or scan the QR code on the host's screen, or open the link the host gives you.

The PIN does not work. Check the six digits on the host's screen. If you see No game has that PIN, the game may not be open yet, or it has ended. After too many tries, the page says Too many tries and asks you to wait a few seconds.

Do I need an account or an app? No. A browser on your phone is enough.

Why was my nickname refused? ARENA checks nicknames. It refuses one that is empty or longer than 24 characters, one with characters that cannot be shown, and one that is not allowed. Choose another. Some hosts give everyone a random nickname instead.

Playing

What if my phone locks or my signal drops? Your phone tries to reconnect by itself, and you rejoin where you left off. If it cannot, it shows Connection lost and a Reconnect button.

What if the host loses their connection? You see Host reconnecting. Stay on the page. The game goes on when they are back.

Is the timer fair? The timer runs on ARENA's server, not on your phone, and your answer is accepted for a very short grace after time runs out. If your phone's clock is off, you still see a countdown.

Can I answer with the keyboard? Yes. Press 1 for the first answer, 2 for the second, and so on. On a multiple-choice question, a key picks or clears that answer, and you choose Submit answer.

Can I use a screen reader? Yes. ARENA announces each question, and shows answers with a colour, a shape and a text label, so you never rely on colour alone. If your device is set to reduce motion, ARENA reduces motion too.

Self-paced quizzes and personal links

My link says it has expired. Choose Request a new link. If a new link can be sent, it reaches you the same way as the first one. A link works for 7 days.

This link does not work. Open it exactly as you received it. If it still fails, ask whoever sent it for a new one.

Can I stop and come back? ARENA saves each answer as you give it. Keep the page open until you see your result. If you close the tab, your browser forgets where you were, so you may have to start again.

Can I retake it? It depends on the organiser's rule. The result page says This quiz allows one attempt., a number of retakes, or This quiz allows any number of retakes. Choose Take the quiz again when a retake is open. If you came by a personal link, ask the person who sent it for a new link.

Your data

What is stored when I play? Your answers, how long you took, and your score. The full list is in the privacy notice, under "What is collected when you play".

Will my name and email be saved? Only if you tick the box on the Save your result step. You see your result either way. Choose Skip to leave your details out.

Will I be added to a mailing list? ARENA does not add you to a list. If you tick the box, you let the organiser of the quiz contact you about your result. What they do next is up to them.

How long is my data kept? An attempt that is not linked to you by a name, an email or a personal link is deleted 30 days after it ends. The privacy notice lists the other periods.

How do I get my data deleted? Ask the organiser who shared the quiz. They decide on your request. If you write to ARENA at support@brandbeat7.com about a quiz, BrandBeat7 passes your request on to the organiser.

Is it for children? No. Quizzes on ARENA are not meant for children under 13. Until the organiser confirms the audience age, the join page says the quiz is for people aged 16 or over.

Results and certificates

Where do I see my score? On the Your result page: Score, Passed or Not passed, and your Mastery level. If the organiser turned on feedback, Your answers shows each question.

How do I get my certificate? The organiser sends it from their own CRM workflow, after you reach a level they set. ARENA does not send certificates or messages itself. Ask the organiser.
